Self Referral Podiatry (Dumfries and Galloway)

The Service is available, regardless of age, for those with a problem affecting the foot and lower limb, especially those complicated by a medical need.
Examples of treatment undertaken

Wound care (ulcerations)
Biomechanics – Musculoskeletal (including gait analysis and the provision of prescriptive insoles)
Corn and callus reduction (painful accumulations relating to disability/dysfunction)
Complex nail care and corrective nail surgery (for conditions such as painful deformed nails or ingrowing toenails, fungal infections)
Diabetic screening
Foot health education (prevention and self-management)
